I got my Milwaukee Magazine in the mail this week and was surprised to see.....my mom! She was interviewed for the "Fostering Flea: What's Old is New Again at Area Markets" by Maureen Post. She runs the Elkhorn Flea Market in Elkhorn, WI and talked about the shift in buyers and collecting. The issue should be out on newsstands this week.
I am planning on making my first trip to the elkhorn flea market in may and am sooooo excited. what do you usually get when you are there?
ReplyDeleteI never know what I'll come how with. Sometimes it's furniture. Last time I bought some vintage Milwaukee postcards an some original drawings I later framed. And I always come home with great produce and a cream puff. Just get there early! 7-9am at least.
ReplyDeletecool, i am hoping to get some fun decorative pieces. I have been so worried about finding the right furniture for my apartment that I have absolutely nothing on my walls and it looks simply depressing.
