I'm on a boat: I got my flippy-floppies

Summer is just about here. That means it's time for the annual flip-flop purchase. You know I love nautical things. I like these comfy-looking nautical flip flops from Jcrew. These Havianas Fit sandals also look comfy and practical. Score.

What kind of flip flops are you guys getting this summer? Tevas, Reefs, Rainbow, JCrew, Chacos?

I want to go to there: a houseboat

I was reading the The UK Times Online and came across this unbelievable houseboat owned by Josie Curran on the river Thames. This is a boat? Really?

Redecorating the bathroom: Downstairs done.

The bathroom redecorating started when I found an old trophy plate from the "Great Lakes Cruising Club", a sailing club still in existence. I found the large nautical chart of the Door County area at The Map Store on Mayfair Rd.. Such a great store!
Like the fake plant from IKEA? I do.
The photo is from Friendly Made on Etsy. I put some old fishing tackle in the bathroom jar. I couldn't think of anything else to put in there.
Target was the source for all the towels.

I'm on a boat: S.S. Delta Queen

When I saw this set of glasses at the Kewaskum Antique Mall and immediately thought of how much I loved our trip to Tennesse earlier this year. The entire set of eight medium sized glass were only $4.95, so I couldn't leave them there. Now I'm conjuring up ideas for a Tennessee style dinner party: these glasses, a pitcher of Lynchburg lemonade, some Memphis-style ribs, and B.B. King singing the blues.
