Let there be sight.....

It was about time I got new glasses. My old ones were from High School circa my Lisa Loeb stage and I was wearing my contacts dry. But where was I going to find stylish glasses to accommodate my whopping -8.25 prescription? I need a walking stick just to find my bed at night. So I checked out some of the online retailers like bonlook, lookmatic, and Warby Parker. After an at home trial run, I picked the Fitz style from Warby Parker. And my eyes are now experiencing a welcome break from studying, blogging, and researching. Although I still need a little help finding my bed sometimes; I can see the pile of laundry on the floor now.

New stuff: Subscribe to CC&S

Yesssss! I finally figured out how to set up an RSS feed AND an email subscription. Big happenin's, people. Now I'm using words like "chicklet", and "atom feed", and "nerd alert" (probably not important news). What is important is that now you can subscribe to Cream City and Sugar's feeds for post updates and junk. The two links (one for RSS and one for email) are in the column to the right. New stuff: Campfire votive candle

This Kikkerland campfire votive candle arrived from Velocity Art & Design last week. I must have skipped over the product description that stated the "candle" is battery operated, not a real votive candle. You can put a real votive in there but just take off the "sticks" top otherwise the bisque china will get black. The silver lining of it all is that this will make a great night light. I can see it being great for a kids room or on a hallway table to light that midnight walk to the loo.
