I cannot wait until Sunday night. Mad Men returns for the 5th season with a 2 hour premiere at 8pm. I'm having people over for a Mad Men style dinner and premiere watching. I have some old 60's dishes and plan to make petit steaks; friends are bringing the sides....and a six pack of Heineken (remember Betty's dinner party?).

I just started watching Mad Men at the beginning of the year and chipped away at all four seasons having just finished this week. Now I'm 100% ready for Season 5. Is Betty going to regret divorcing Don? Joan is going to pretend the baby is Greg's? good luck. Is Don really going to marry his secretary? I mean really. Is Sally going to turn into a wild devil child? And will Sal ever come back??? So many questions. And if this show doesn't sound intriguing enough, just watch the promo clip below and tell me this show isn't awesome.

Watching The West Wing

I just finished watching the complete West Wing series a few days ago. I had to decompress a little. If you're a West Wing fan, you know how captivating this show can be. If you haven't seen the show, it is incredibly inspiring. It made me want to jump on a plane to DC and intern for the rest of my life. I was a little late to rally on the West Wing bandwagon, but I was immediately hooked after getting the box set last Christmas. The show does has a democratic slant but that's not the whole show. It's really about the political process and life in politics (on either side of the aisle). Plots encompassed everything from tensions in the middle east, the fine print of the Constitution, to the nuanced rules of the White House curator's office. The episodes are pretty fast-paced and witty with well-known guest stars in almost every show. So, if you're at all into politics or fast-paced witty dramas, I really think you should watch a season (or seven) of the West Wing.

Desperate Housewives Style: Eva Longoria Parker's closet

Oh, I have waited for this night for months! It's the season premiere of Desperate Housewives Season 7 (maybe the last)! I do love my girly shows. I have a feeling things will wrap around full circle this season--especially with the return of Paul Young. Given Paul's creepstore past and Andrew's impending confession of Mrs. Solis' murder, redemption seems to be heavy on the docket this season. I just hope Gaby is ready with a few snappy remarks to keep things funny.


About that Gaby, and my obsession with "The Housewives". I am all about admiring them on-screen and off-screen (I even buy Mott's because of Marcia Cross, geeesh! A girl after my own heart, I must say.
