Fur snoods

Oh hey, Winter, you finally showed up!

After my snowbound adventure home from Chicago last night, wearing my LLBean boots, jeans and a band t-shirt covered by two coats, I thought about how in winter, it's hard to look good. Your skin is all dry, your hair has 10volts of static electricity, and you're constantly covered by fabrics designed for people in Antarctica. I thought a fur snood might be just the solution. What do you think?

Winter has arrived......

There was already an inch of snow when I woke up at 7am and a forecast for plenty more today.
Although it's a little late, I still welcome the snow. I was beginning to feel jipped out of winter altogether. By this time, Milwaukee usually sees at least five or six snow storms.

So you know what this means......time to break out the hot chocolate.
Here's a roundup of my favorites. Any good brands I should try? Let me know!

Starbucks Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa Mix, Omanhene cocoa powder, Ghiradelli Double Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix, Chuao Mexican Hot Chocolate

The weather in Milwaukee is more arctic than midwest this week. When the windchill drops to -25˚F, I start to forget where I am.

Santa, is that you?

Milwaukee Style: Hunter boots

I was screaming like a little girl at Hannah Montana when I unwrapped my new pair of Hunter wellies this past Christmas. I have been seeing them on fashionable people here and there, but that's not the only reason I wanted them......they are sooooo practical for Milwaukee winters. You can go out shoveling, walk the dog, step in mud, and still go out and look cute. I love that you can just wipe them off; no leather, furry lining or laces to worry about.

Here are some cute outfits topped off with a pair of wellies!.......

Daily Fix: Winter beers

When the snow starts falling, I love staying inside and hanging out at home. Here are some of the winter seasonal beers that have been keeping us company....

Upland Winter Warmer

Captital Winter Skal

Lakefront Holiday Spice

Corsendonk Christmas Ale

One of our new discoveries was Shiner Holiday Cheer. There weren't any bottles left to take a photo.

Oh the weather outside if frightful

Wearing an Ovejanegra sweater would make this blizzardy day so much better!
