Daily Fix: educational classes

Maybe the fall weather is giving me the flashbacks and yearning for the academic life, but I have been signing up for classes left and right. Here are some great classes offered in the Milwaukee area. I'll probably be at all of these.

1. BOSWELL BOOK COMPANY AUTHOR READING: Sherman Alexie, author of WAR DANCES. Wednesday, October 21st - 7:00 PM

. Cost Free.


2. JOHN JAMES AUDOBON RARE PRINT PRESENTATION at the Milwaukee Public Museum Central Branch. October 10th- 2:00 PM. Cost Free.


3. URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER COMPOSTING CLASS. October 17th 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Cost $15.


4. Ale THROUGH THE AGES: The Archaeology and Anthropology of Brewing AT DISCOVERY WORLD. October 7th 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. Cost $15 for members, $20 for non-members.


5. Milwaukee Public Market Cooking Class: FRANCE IN FALL. October 20th 5:30 PM. Cost $29.


6. FURNITURE REPAIR/REUPHOLSTERY CLASS at Waukesha Technical College. 8 week courses start in January and cost $105/semester.
